Here Kitty Kitty

Brooklyn wants a cat more than just about anything. Here are a few of her recent attempts to get one.

Round 1
Dad, do you like Belle and the Beast?

Yes, Brooklyn. It is a good movie.

Yeah, Dad, I knew you liked Belle she is a great cat. (our friends have a cat named Belle.)

Round 2
Papa, (my Dad) lets go back and look at that nice kitty. It was so nice, I know it won't bite or lick.

No, Brooklyn your Dad is allergic to cats.

OK, Nana (my Mom) will you take me to look at the cat it is so nice....

Round 3
Dad, I think we need to get some gates for our yard.

Why Brooklyn?

Because, then our cat will stay in the yard and it won't make you sick.

Yes, she is just 3. I can only wait for 16. I am afraid for her high school debate team. So for now she will enjoy the neighbor’s cat.

Tanner wants a cat too. A few ago he asked me this..."Mom, when dad dies can we get a cat?" Cory is also allergic. I told Tanner that I hoped Cory didn't die for a long, long time.

That's hilarious. Last weekend we went to visit Natalie's birth mother and her family. When we left it was a pretty teary goodbye--the adoption has been very emotional for everybody involved. We got in the car and Ella was sniffling, and she said, "Mom, I'm really going to miss Cooper!" That was the cat she had played with all day long. Sensitive kid, eh?

Hee hee, reminds me of another little blonde 3-year-old I know. Don't be as dumb as me and let her put a bowl of milk out for the kitty - now we CAN'T get rid of it!
